The cut on these is what gets me. They flatter the seat in a way that most wide leg pants simply do not. They hang beautifully, flow when you move, and somehow manage to look polished whether you have been sitting for two hours or on your feet all day.  In other words, they don't do the saggy bum thing after sitting for long periods.

The deep pockets are real and I use them constantly. Standing around chatting, hands in pockets, completely comfortable.

They do not crease easily. I have worn these to dinner, sat through long meals, and stood up looking as polished as when I walked in. That is rare.

I did the water test and no marks showed at all. The fabric and dark colour work together exactly as they should.

A few things worth knowing before you buy:

There is no belt loop at the centre back. This makes them incredibly comfortable to sit in all day - nothing digging in, nothing riding up in the wrong place. The trade-off is that when sitting you may notice them dropping slightly at the centre back waist when you get up. It is not a problem when you are standing or moving - just worth knowing.

The paper bag waist sits above the belt loop line. If you have a long torso, this is genuinely flattering - it breaks up the eye in all the right places. If you have a shorter torso or a more average length, my suggestion is to wear a wide belt with a focul point buckle to break the line. The self tie belt that comes with them works, but I personally find a statement buckle belt looks better on my body. It breaks up the eye line.

These are warm. Not for summer. Perfect for the rest of the year.

These have a 34 inch inseam - they are long. I am 173cm tall and they are the right length on me. If you are shorter than 165cm these will likely need hemming or worn with a heel to sit correctly.

The paper bag waist sits higher than a standard waistband. If you have a shorter torso, a wide statement belt breaks the line and keeps everything in proportion. If you have a long torso, the higher waist is genuinely flattering on its own.

Main: 97% Polyester, 3% Spandex

Mid weight fabric with enough body to drape and move beautifully. Not stiff, not flimsy - just the right weight to hold its shape and flow when you move.

Tag says handwash but I just throw mine in the washing machine with my other clothes and they come out fine.  Most tags these days say handwash to cover themselves legally.

Too warm for a hot summer day. Perfect for autumn, winter and mild spring.

A. Yes - this is one of the things I love most about them. I have worn these to long dinners and stood up looking as polished when I sat down. In other words, no saggy bum after long periods of sitting like other pants.

A. There is fabric above the waistband that sits higher than a standard pant and folds over slightly above the belt loops - that is the paper bag detail. It is really flattering on longer torsos. On a shorter or more average torso, pair with a wide statement belt to break the line and keep proportions looking right.

Q. Do they need to be dry cleaned?

A. No. I throw mine in the wash. They come out well.  Tag says hand wash but I always throw mine in the washing machine with coloreds.

Q. Are they true to size?

A. Yes. I am a size 14 and wearing a size 14.

A. The inseam is 34 inches which is long. If you are under 165cm these will likely need hemming or worn with a heel to sit correctly.
